Back to reality, which is not a bad thing, just not quite as relaxing. We had a lot of fun in Cancun this past week but it's always nice to get home. The kids were fantastic although the first night Vanessa was throwing up all night then the third night it was Troy's turn (not their faults though). Otherwise they slept well, ate well and played really well. Iain and I were able to sit back on our lounge chair and watch them swim and play for the most part - much more relaxing then anticipated.

We were a little disapointed with the weather - very windy, you couldn't hear the person next to you talking unless they were facing you windy. But the sun was out so the kids were able to swim and we worked on our tans. We got Vanessa's hair put in the braids the first day. She was very relaxed..

There was a terrific kids playcenter that we were able to leave Ty at for a couple hours a few days while the two younger ones napped...more relaxing time for Iain and I.

Otherwise our days were filled with walks on the beach,

swimming in the pool,

and fruity resort drinks!

Getting home was not bad at all- Iain took 2 extra days off so we've had an extra long weekend to follow our week of vacation up with. It has been all about spring cleaning - we are tossing/donating so much. It feels great to unload all these toys the kids no longer play with and the junk that has accumulated over the years.
The next thing I have to look forward to is that we are getting part of our basement finished. Iain and I are having a "hobbies" room built for my scrapbooking and his guitar playing. Otherwise it's back to same ol' same ol' here but I'm not complaining...that's always good too.
