Vanessa's first field trip

Vanessa had her first preschool field trip yesterday morning to Nature's Bounty Orchard. I think we were supposed to be there to pick apples but it was pouring rain and so cold and windy that only 4 kids showed up and the "farmer" had to plan some indoor activities. It was still a great little trip in spite of the crummy weather and Vanessa was very excited to wear her raincoat and rain boots. Playing in a puddle waiting for the other kids to show up.Vanessa churning apples to make cider.Enjoying the yummy cider they made. When the rain let up a little the farmer took the kids out to the pumpkin patch to show them how pumpkin flowers are fertilized by bees to turn into pumpkins. Vanessa was very interested although I'm sure she was more interested in the bee puppet then the actual science of pumpkin growing.
After a chilly but entertaining morning we headed home to warm up. I had to throw in a picture of my little man who was all smiles once we got home.

Vanessa's preschool teacher "Miss Peggy" assured us that the next field trip is an indoor one.
